Slice Cucumbers into ¼ inch slices and place in a large glass bowl and add your salt and place in your Ball Jar.
Place your sugar and apple cider vinegar in a saucepan with your cloves and star anise. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes. Cover the mixture and let stand to cool down to room temperature.
Just before you pour the mixture over the pickles, add your Super High Octane and stir. Place the mixture over your pickles and place in your refrigerator and chill for 24 hours. Pickles can last up to one week.
This is a great BBQ addition.
